Celestial Beliefs:
In lieu of knowing the "real" history explaining why each wolf pack has it's own elemental charms and abilities; each element has it's own beliefs, based upon the knowledge that all wolves are born with; that there exists a higher power that they cannot see. Over the years, these higher powers have come to be known as the Celestials, and each element has their own beliefs of such:

Air ~ Dust ~ Earth ~ Fire ~ Lightning ~ Shadow ~ Spirit

Air: The wolves of the air believe heavily in the spirits of the air, whom they call collectively Seraphina. They believe that Seraphina, the goddess of air (whom is viewed as a stunningly beautiful silver wolfess, that no one can look upon without going blind), placed them upon this land to revel in the glory of these beautiful lands and to be the wise ones of all the wolves, being blessed with a higher perspective and better access to the heavens. The alphas of the air wolf pack thus lives in a cavern of their home which is situated right by the 'whistling rock', seen as a honored formation of worship to the spirit.

Dust: These wolves know they were created with the help Lesser Celestial by the name of Deannach. As dust itself is always wandering, floating hither and yon, so do these wolves, believing that no place is fit to be their constant home, staying no more than a month or so in any one area. They believe that by staying too long in one place that they will lose that which makes them unusual and become untrue to their elemental bonds. This belief is solidified by the fact that Deannach refuses to stay in one singular form, usually simply taking that of a swirling cloud of dust when she arrives as an avatar to the wolves.

Earth: The wolves of the forests believe that the spirits of the forests, referred to as only the Great Forest Spirit(s), have placed them here as the caretakers of all living and growing things. They wish to cultivate all living and growing plants and animals, treating them with respect, even when they must take them for their meals. Their spirits are portrayed as small green wolves that hop amongst the trees like sprites. The great ancient runic rock that sits in the middle of their forest home has been known as the 'medium' from which the tree spirits gain their power. The alphas of the forest dwelling wolves make their den underneath a large oak tree that sits to the east of this rock, within plain view.

Fire: The wolves of fire believe that they have been put here as the guardians of the world itself, with their ability to get very close to her core. They tend to think that they were put here by a fire-eyed god called Karrash, whom they portray as a great black wolf male with firey embers for eyes. The fissure that spews it's gas throughout their cave system under ground is known as a place of reverence, and where the great black wolf himself may one day return.

Lightning: The Lesser Celestial of Storms has been known by many names ever since Paragon's creation. To the wolves, it is called Toirniuil; across the ocean, it is sometimes named Thunderbird. The Celestial embodies Chaos and shifts forms to match the territories he visits. One moment, a wolf; the next, a bird of prey. Toirniuil wears many guises; its personality is mercurial, likewise shifting depending on mood or time of day. The only consistent factor of this Lesser Celestial is it seems attached to these storms and has an interest in the wolves of Paragon. The focal point of their packlands, the Pearly Cliffs, the pinnacle upon which the chaos of the seas can be viewed as well as the chaos of the everchanging winds; is a great lightning orb that harnesses the power of storms.

Shadow: Ilios, the Celestial of the sun and Selini, the Celestial of the moon are the guardians of the Lanuin and empower these wolves with their special abilities in daylight and darkness specifically to protect the lands of Paragon from the Lan. These Celestials are worshipped by the Lanuin quite piously and the shamans know the ancient tales of when they aided in the creation of these wolves of shadow to guard against the darkness. If seen by the wolves, which is a very very rare occurence and generally limited only to the shamans of the pack; Ilios is seen as a blinding white male wolf and Selini as a dark as night female wolfess.

Spirit: Meabhair is the wolven Celestial of Memory. She rarely has reason to speak with any wolf aside from the Spiorad. When she manifests, she remains hidden and unseen; her words merely form within the wolf's mind. Under more dire circumstances, she will visit a wolf in his or her dreams, there often taking the shape and color of a grey wolf. In dreams and in the Shrouded Lands, she has the capacity to open the door of history to any wolf she chooses, replaying past events to demonstrate a lesson that this wolf may need to learn. Within the lands of the spirit, it is said there is a great fountain that holds the wisdom of the wolves, a gift from Meabhair herself.
